Anthem Blue Cross (Anthem) Medicare Advantage plans provide the same benefits you can get from Original Medicare (Medicare Part A and Part B). Many Anthem Medicare Advantage plans may also offer benefits that Original Medicare doesn’t cover, such as dental, hearing and prescription drug coverage.

What benefits can some Anthem Medicare Advantage plans cover?
Many Anthem Medicare Advantage plans may offer dental, vision, hearing and prescription drug coverage.
- Dental coverage can typically include routine dental care such as exams, teeth cleanings and X-rays.
- Vision benefits can include routine eye exams, glasses frames, prescription lenses and contacts.
- Hearing coverage can often include aids and hearing aid fittings.
- The prescription drug coverage found in an Anthem Medicare Advantage plan will come with a formulary, or a list of drugs covered by the plan, and include access to a network of thousands of pharmacies across the country.

Discounts or allowances may be available for over-the-counter health products purchased from pharmacies, such as cold medicines, allergy medication or more. - Telehealth
LiveHealth Online is a telehealth service where Anthem Medicare Advantage plan members can visit with a doctor virtually, using a smartphone or computer 24/7. - Personal emergency response system
Anthem Medicare Advantage plan benefits may include a Personal Emergency Response System (PERS) used to monitor your health and signal for emergency help when needed. - Acupuncture and pain management
Acupuncture coverage can include up to 24 visits per year or acupuncture, pressure treatment, chiropractic services or therapeutic massage.
